What started it all? What got you into EDM? What got you into DJing? Producing?
As you might know, I'm from Latin America where most of the young people listen to reggaetón which is the genre of choice around here. Around 2012 or 2013, music from artists like Avicii, Hardwell, Skrillex, and Blasterjaxx started to get popular and that was the type of music that spoke to me more so than reggaetón. Ever since I heard their music, I started to discover more and more artists and just went full on EDM. As for producing, I was curious to try it out since I had so much love for the music; I wanted to make tracks by myself and find my own sound. What's your favorite social media to use just for your own consumption? I mostly use Twitter, but I use it in a crossover way for my personal and producer life so it may be weird for my followers, but that's how just how it is right now! You’ve gone from making mixes to having your tracks supported by some huge names, what do you think has been the key to your success so far? Working a lot on the DAW and learning as much as I can about it. By investing the time, you will reach a level of quality that you can be proud of and I think that the bigger artists can sense your effort and passion and will like and support your stuff. I also think an important key to my success was deciding early on which direction I wanted to go in with my music. By doing so I was able to focus on improving and perfecting that style and sound I was going for. What was it like working with SaberZ on a guest mix? It was amazing! It turns out that SaberZ was a big fan of my music and decided to reach out and ask if I wanted to do a guest mix, and of course I wanted to! I’ve been in love with all the reactions I’ve gotten to that mix so far; I was kind of scared because it had been a while since I uploaded a mix (people that know about my background remember those times!) but was really special since it was the premiere of my latest song, "Vapor" too so I wanted to make my portion of the mix as good as I could! Just being nitpicky here, but it's hard not to see similarities between the drops in "Vapor" and your "Lonely Together" bootleg, what can you tell me about that? Seems like you're pulling a GIANTS after they released "Titans." Well I really thought that I got my sound right in that “Lonely Together” bootleg and I got a really great response from people, so I tried to do something similar so that people would recognize my sound in any other original track made by me. I focused on making “Vapor” a “follow up. " Although, in my opinion, the only noticeable similarity with “Lonely Together” is the drop. What are some goals you've set for yourself? Right now my goal is to keep improving my work and hopefully reach more people! The most important thing is creating music that will keep people loving my sound! What are you looking to improve upon in your productions? If I'm being honest with myself, I think that my workflow is very slow. I would love to speed up my process a bit. Of course I want to keep improving my sound but that just comes with time and putting in the work. Any collabs you'd kill for? W&W/NWYR or Headhunterz! I love the feelings that they transmit with their music and their overall musical vision. How many unfinished tracks do you have laying around on your hard drive? I have about 8 or 10 tracks that are actually tracks and more than just ideas, but I doubt that I will ever finish them. I mean if I’m working on a track that I really like, I’ll finish it no matter what. I’m just not as passionate about those unfinished tracks so I won’t spend the time to finish them. What would people be most surprised that you're interested in? Nothing too outlandish, I just follow a lot football(soccer) and F1 racing. I certainly sacrifice time in the studio to catch some of the games and races! I’m a huge fan of Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Vieira. Which IDs are you most looking forward to being released? I know I've been waiting on a few of yours since the guest mix! All of the W&W and NWYR IDs because they’re all masterpieces! What has been your proudest moment thus far into your career? Getting support from W&W. It was amazing to see one of my dreams come true and seeing all of my hard work paying off.
