SaberZ talks "Doha" and Updates to Their Duo Dynamic

Interview with SaberZ
We've partnered with Revealed Family to bring you this exclusive interview with the Hungarian big room duo, SaberZ. Their impressive discography includes releases on Revealed Recordings, Mainstage Music, Enhanced, TNC, Quartzo Records as well as support from the biggest names in the genre like Hardwell, W&W, and Blasterjaxx to name just a few.
You both have been grinding in this industry for over six years individually and four years as SaberZ. What do you attribute your growing success to?
First of all we want to thank you for the opportunity to tell our story with you! In our opinion the key to our "success" is keeping the exclusivity and quality of our releases very high. We have over ten tracks ready to go that we're looking over. If there is even one thing that we don't like in our tracks and can't fix, we'll likely never release it. As for our fans, our tactic is very simple: We have been working towards growing our loyal fan base since day one. For us, having 10,000 active fans is much better than having 100,000 inactive fans.
You've previously said that your inspirations have been Hardwell, Showtek, W&W, and Afrojack when he was doing Dirty Dutch tracks. What would you say your inspiration is now and where can we expect the SaberZ sound to go next?
Our inspiration hasn't changed much since then and so our idols are still W&W and Hardwell. You can expect pure bangers in the future in a few genres, like we have a hardstyle track with a well-known Revealed artist in the works as well as a "commercial" psy-trance track with an Australian artist. We've also partnered with another duo on this exciting big room track that's coming soon! Aside from those collaborations, we have a lot of solo tracks coming up so we you can expect some heat from us in 2019!

Nothing satisfies us more, than playing in front of you guys â–¡â–¡

Tell us about the creation process for your recently released track on Revealed.
After a tour in China, we wanted to make a track with that had some Chinese influence in it. However when we sat down to make that track,  we found some great sitar sounds in a stock FL studio plugin so we decided to make the whole track more Arabic with that sort of eastern influence. The rest of the track fell into place after that!

What have been some of your favorite experiences while touring?
We have had a lot of great experiences while on tour! Recently we were at ADE and we were extremely surprised to see how many fans and random people came up to us to chat and take a photo. Over towards the east, we really enjoyed the hospitality we received over in China. Words can't describe how nice the people were over there! They treated us very well and we did a show with Maurice West which was absolutely insane! We had a fantastic time that night but we definitely paid for it the next morning. There's probably a thousand other things we could mention but these were the first things that came to our mind.
What do you both do outside of music?
Kristof is working almost full time at his family business. Beni got a degree at a university in June and now he is studying sound engineering. Unfortunately we don't make enough money from our music to have a comfortable living but hopefully that will change soon. Outside of the studio, we like to relax with some video games or going out with friends.
You recently posted about a change to your duo dynamic. Can you tell us how this will change SaberZ as we know it?
Previously, the work was split evenly in the studio and onstage but from now on, Kristof will devote his full attention on productions and Beni will focus on touring and preparing for the live shows. There will still be a dialogue about ideas and direction for SaberZ tracks, sometimes throwing ideas to Kristof about what to work on and change in the tracks. So to summarize: There won't be any difference except that Beni will be touring alone. Our partnership will only grow stronger because of this change because we have both found the right place to be to feel most comfortable.
Where do you see yourselves in twenty years?
We don't really want to think about where we gonna be in twenty years because we always trying to focus on what's in front of us and the outcome of things in the near future. Our goals are pretty straightforward: become a well-known duo, play huge shows, meet interesting people, explore different cultures, and meet all our fans! While it might be an impossible task, we'll be trying our best to make it happen! Hopefully you'll be seeing us in a city near you in the future!
A huge thanks to SaberZ for taking the time to answer our questions! Be sure to follow them on social media for all the latest updates and releases!
