Riot Ten talks Imagine Festival and Family

Rail Breaker is a true anthem in the dubstep scene with countless remixes and versions. Tell us more about the making of this track and what has made it such an anthem.
While you never know if a song is going to truly connect or not, I had strong feeling about this one as soon as it was finished. You could definitely say that I made it at the right place and the right time. Playing it live and seeing such a big reaction never gets old to me. Truthfully, it amazes me every time.

In your opinion, what makes a unique dubstep song?
I think having original vocals set dubstep songs apart the most out of anything else. Obviously sound design is key but I think vocals make it easier to be unique. As far as my sets go, the heavier the music the better. I want people to leave the show absolutely shook after watching me perform.

What are some of your tour habits or rituals?
I'm honestly a really lazy guy when I travel. My managers might not like me saying that but that's just the truth! As for the day to day, once in a while I'll go sightseeing but usually you'll find me in my hotel room just relaxing. For food, I tend to eat sushi, steak, or ramen on show days. Those are my favorite foods for sure.
Do you have any plans to tour with your family or bring them into the fold of your career in any way?
I do take my girlfriend to shows once in a while when the opportunity presents itself. I have also brought out my son on stage multiple occasions. I want them to see what I do for a living and how blessed I really am. My other son is too young to be traveling with me now, but I definitely plan on bringing him out when he's ready!

What are you most looking forward to for Imagine Festival 2018?
I always try and make each of my festival sets as hype as they can possibly be. One thing everyone can always expect is for me to give 110% when I'm on stage performing. The crowd deserves nothing less. I've heard amazing things about Imagine Festival and the line up is so eclectic! I think because of this, anyone at my set is going to get exactly what they were hoping for out of it: MADNESS!
