Before we get into things, I've got to ask: with all of the touring you guys have been doing all around the world, how do you take care of your nine cats when you're away?
That's a really good question! We still live with our mom, so she takes care of them while we're touring. We miss them and our two dogs a lot, but we know they're in good hands.

In a past interview, you mentioned that one of your collaborators, Santti lent his whistling to the track. What have been some of the unique things you guys have done in order to get a sample for one of your songs?
We tried to sing to see if we could use our own vocals in one of our songs, but it turned out worse than what we'd planned! To get some unique stuff, we look for other music genre sample packs as funk, which is a very popular genre here in Brazil, and people love to hear it in a different context. It's always great to try something new and mix it with electronic music.
Whenever I'm DJing or playing music for my friends who don't normally listen to EDM stuff, I try to put a lot of G-House and Brazilian Bass remixes of Top 40 tracks and they always seem to really enjoy it. From a producer's perspective, why do you think this style of music has exploded in popularity around the world?
I think that this kind of music fits better in clubs and in an environment where people want to move and dance more than jumping. Another good thing about it is that you can make many kinds of sets that work for different places without changing the style. We do that a lot! Our club set is a lot different to our festival set.

Can you give us a quick update on the status of your label and brand, Cat House? It's been almost a year since last we've heard from it!
We are working on a completely new image for it. That's why we're currently on a hiatus but hopefully, if our schedules can fit it, this year we will be able to throw one and next year for sure we are going to throw many events. We are super excited with how our team is developing it and we really want to show you guys as soon as possible!

Which video games are you both currently engrossed in when you're not in the booth or studio?

Fortnite for sure. Both of us are horrible players, but we still love it! We also play some Fifa sometimes with friends too - this one we are actually pretty good at.

You've previously stated that Pedro was working on a background in marketing before fully committing to the Cat Dealers project. How has that knowledge helped grow your careers and what tips do you have for other producers looking to make waves beyond just the music?
I think all backgrounds helps a lot. All kinds of knowledge are helpful if you know how to apply it to what you are doing. So we are sure that it helped a lot. I think what we have to say to new producers is that you have to act like your own manager nowadays. Of course having an actual manager is great, but you can't leave your career completely in the hands of other people, you have to be aware that it is your business so you have to be in control too.
What have been some of your most memorable experiences while traveling abroad?
Going to a Cat Cafe is definitely on our bucket list but we haven't had the chance yet! As tourists, we would say that going to Asia for us was something really awesome because it's completely different from what we are used to. We get to learn and experience a lot of cool stuff there. Of course, all around the world is awesome, but Asia is the most unique for us. Best food we've ever had is CALIFORNIA BURRITO for sure. They have a lot of stores in San Diego and some in Los Angeles as well. We love it so much!

Where do you see yourselves in five years?
We see ourselves living in Los Angeles or Barcelona. For sure doing a lot of shows around the world, making music we love (don't know what kind because I think producers are always evolving, so 5 years is too far ahead for us to be certain about it now). We really wanted to open a California Burrito restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, but unfortunately we don't have time for that right now, so maybe in 5 years we will hahaha. We have a lot of cool tracks that we are excited to release including our collaboration with GoldFish on "Colours & Lights" which just dropped. We're also really excited about our upcoming collaboration with Merk & Kremont and MorganJ on "Dance Now", as well as our collab with Will Sparks, and many others that we are still working on! We are very excited for the future!
