We're excited to introduce a new set of mini-interviews from artists whose tracks we particularly enjoyed. This week, we have been blown away by "King of the Fairies" by SIZE-S and Haohinh. We quickly spoke with  Haohinh about his background and the making of the track!
Can you give us a quick overview about yourself and the Haohinh project?
I've been making music for more than five years now, ever since I was in high school, I listened a lot to artists like Zedd and Avicii and wanted to be like them. So I started researching about music production. My skills improved very slowly at first because in my country, Vietnam, music producers are very rare and I couldn't find anyone to talk to and share with them about music.

It was only in recent years that I discovered many other sick artists and collaborated with them. This really helped me improve my production skills and get some good exposure as well. My greatest accomplishment so far is that my latest collab with SIZE-S, "King Of The Fairies," got signed to Quartzo Records. This is the first time I got signed to such a big record label and it's helped me gain some attention!
What were the influences for the song? We've always wondered why there hasn't been more of a fusion between Celtic music and EDM and this track combined them both so perfectly in the breakdowns!
I have always been inspired and influenced by KSHMR, who uses a ton of different orchestral intruments in his music - so I tried to do that as well. I wanted to make sure that my tracks included some "world music" elements to it. After making tracks with all sorts of cultural features including Indian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese traditional music, I wanted to try something new: Celtic folk music. So I went on Splice and searched for the keyword "Celtic" and I came across this violin sample. I instantly fell in love but wasn't quite sure what to do with it.

Then one random day, I was browsing for music on SoundCloud and stumbled upon SIZE-S's track "Setsuna" and loved their drop style. So I downloaded their track and started making the breakdown part using the violin sample. Then I mashed it up with Setsuna's drop and sent it to SIZE-S asking them for a collab and the rest is history!
Thanks so much to Haohinh for the incredible track and taking the time to speak with us! Be sure to check him out using the links below!
