The QR Network is keeping the momentum moving forward into the summer. Following the April 2026 debut of the original track "Cynical," Happy hardcore powerhouse No Hero returns to the label for the second installment of his scheduled three-track release series. This time, he joins forces with label curator and producer Pastland for a massive, high-energy modern reimagining of the iconic Bonnie Tyler classic, "Holding Out For A Hero."

Set for official release on May 22, 2026, this collaboration breathes intense new life into a timeless anthem, perfectly blending nostalgic melodic euphoria with cutting-edge hard dance production.

No Hero Brings Signature Happy Hardcore and Hardstyle Sound to "Holding Out For A Hero"
This 2026 rendition of "Holding Out For A Hero" takes the dramatic, driving energy of the 1984 original and accelerates it into overdrive. No Hero brings his signature euphoric happy hardcore synths to the table to really highlight the melodies and unlock the full power of this timeless classic.

The production is tied together by a flawless vocal performance from Deza, who delivers a faithful, powerful recreation of the original topline. Her performance honors the emotional gravity of the original record while matching the blistering pace of the new instrumental.

Driven by Pop Culture: The "Stuart Fails to Save the Universe" Connection
The timing of this release could not be more precise. Bonnie Tyler's original anthem recently resurfaced in global cultural conversations following its prominent feature in the viral trailer for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the highly anticipated Big Bang Theory spinoff series.

As fans scour the internet for the Stuart Fails to Save the Universe trailer soundtrack, the No Hero and Pastland collaboration arrives as the definitive high-energy alternative. For listeners looking to experience the trailer's high-stakes energy amplified for festival stages and gym playlists, this happy hardcore cover and hardstyle remix hybrid serves as the ultimate upgrade.

A Proven Formula for Hard Dance Hits
This release marks a natural evolution in No Hero’s discography, which is already anchored by high-traffic successes in the happy hardcore and hardstyle spaces. The UK producer has established a clear track record of transforming nostalgic anthems into modern festival weapons. His collaboration with S3RL on "Feel That Way" recently surpassed one million streams, while his take on Max Coveri’s "Running In The 90s" alongside Komb and Tatsunoshin is rapidly approaching the half-million mark on Spotify.

This release also builds on a proven history of success with other cover versions. No Hero previously delivered a powerhouse happy hardcore and hardstyle remix of "Evacuate the Dancefloor" for Intensity Recordings, a track that has cleared over a quarter-million streams. "Holding Out For A Hero" slides perfectly into this catalog of high-energy reworks.

Rather than a traditional co-production, this track highlights the talent-seeking and curation framework behind the Pastland project. By identifying elite producers and pairing them with distinct conceptual visions, Pastland continues to steer the artistic direction of The QR Network. With this second release successfully checking off another massive anthem, momentum is locked in for the third and final track of No Hero's current label residency.

No Hero & Pastland - Holding Out for a Hero Lyrics
Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?

Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn, I dream of what I need

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And he's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
I need a hero

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I could swear that there's someone somewhere watching me

Through the wind and the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I need a hero

I need a hero

I need a hero

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And he's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I need a hero
