This past Monday, Ben Ambergen has released a stellar electro house track on Intensity Recordings. With a stellar and diverse discography ranging from releases on Hexagon and Epic247 to Revealed and Gemstone, Ben Ambergen has proven to be a true trailblazer who makes exactly what he wants to make and share it with the world.
To hear it in his own words: During lockdown, I started feeling trapped on to the same sounds over and over again and producers being 24h at home, an enormous numbers of songs were suddenly getting sent to the labels and a lot of them very close to what I was doing. My thought was “I need to stand out somehow.” I started searching for new sounds and possible style combinations to make music that would be more unique, something that people would say, “oh this is different”. They might love it or not at all! But at this point I’m not being compared to other artists anymore it’s just my sound. Fun fact, the lead on this track is actually my own voice with a shit load of processing. Also, before the lockdown I was in a “happy” kind of mood! But then, during lockdown I started having panic attacks, and with the medication for anxiety somehow I suddenly started making these dark vibes stuff. Truth to be said, for these kind of drops a darker vibe break suits it better. And now I just kept this style, producing whatever I want and releasing. I honestly at this point, I don’t really care if a label takes it or not, if they take them better, if not, not to worry. I just want for my tracks to see the light of day no matter what.
